Carol has done decorative and faux painting for many years. She has painted on new custom furniture as well as antiques. She has done gilding, strie, comb-painting, marbleizing, silkscreen and even upholstery work on projects for architects, interior designers and clients.

A very sad painted mantelpiece before it was faux-finshed. The client wanted to restore it to its former Victorian glory. I did an underpainting of a flat beige color to hide the blue, then I created a faux-bois surface, imitating various wood veneers, oak and plaster decorations.
Here is the finished project, with a new marble facing, and vibrant wall colors selected by the client.
